The international markets have welcomed the Peruvian avocado in the best way, therefore, exports of this extraordinary fruit increased by 19% compared to the first seven months of 2020. Which means that there were 407,349 tons of avocado destined for different countries.

So far this year, July was the month of greatest export, 152% more was obtained than was received in 2020, that is, more than 40,000 additional tons. April was another important month for avocado producers, a growth of 144% was registered compared to the same month of 2020.

Among the main destinations with the highest demand, the Netherlands was the one that acquired the most Peruvian avocados: 38% of the total or 154,025 gross tons.

Spain and the United States are in second and third place. Regarding prices, in Spain, the Peruvian avocado was quoted at US $ 2.33 per kilogram, 15% higher than in 2020. Meanwhile, the price in the US market did not have a greater variation.
