Peruvian agricultural exports have increased by 19%

According to the Midagri (Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation), Peruvian agricultural exports have increased by 19% in the months from January to May, reaching a monetary collection of 2,852 million dollars, so largely thanks to the growing commercialization of fresh fruits.

. Peruvian fresh fruit exports grew

86 million dollars of the proceeds were obtained thanks to traditional agricultural exports while non-traditional exports accumulated 2,276 million dollars, 20% more than in the same period of 2020.

The fresh fruits that had the highest participation were:

  3. Fresh mangoes with $226 million
  4. Frozen mango with $ 100 million
  5. Asparagus with $ 96 million
  6. Others fresh fruits fetched $ 79 million
  7. Animal feed preparations $ 69 million
  8. Fresh bananas $ 65 million.

Blueberries, on the other hand, obtained 59 million dollars with a participation of 2.1% while avocados and grapes had 17% of the participation each. Even so, Peruvian blueberries are fruits with excellent potential in the international market.
