Peruvian avocado campaign would have an increase of 20%

In the first half of this year, Peruvian avocado exports have reached 317.4 thousand tons, while the first six months of 2020 only 261.9 thousand tons of avocado were shipped. Therefore, in this period it has been possible to increase the export volume by 21%, hoping to maintain the rhythm for the second half of the year.

Regarding the volumes of Peruvian avocado sent per month, Cilloniz stated that in January only 4 thousand tons were sent, in February 11.4 thousand tons, in March 36.7 thousand tons, in April 67.4 thousand tons, in May 87.8 thousand tons and in June 110 thousand tons, showing a positive increase in this first half. But it should be remembered that there are only 3 months left to end the 2021 Peruvian avocado export season.
