World production of table grape remains unchanged this season
The table grape has already established itself for a good time as one of the most produced and exported fruits in the world. For this 2020-2021 campaign, production is expected to continue in a very similar way to the previous one, reaching 25.7 tons on average.
According to the forecasts, there will be no major change because the losses suffered in the European Union will be rewarded with Chinese gains. As there is no significant change in production, exports would remain unchanged.

Table grape production by country
The Asian giant, China, could see a slight increase of 400 thousand tons in its production thanks to improvements in its crop management techniques, thus managing to produce 11 million tons.
Turkey, for its part, would experience a 2 million tonne drop caused by the change in its summer climate that reduced yields and quality. A similar scenario occurs in Italy where severe weather has caused its productions to fall, causing the European Union to experience a drop of 170 thousand tons, reaching only 1.4 million tons altogether.
Mexico, would go through a small stand by thanks to the excellent productions of last season, reducing harvests by 650 thousand tons. On the other hand, the United States will increase production by 100,000 tons in order to reach one million.
In Peru, a year of profits is expected, with production growing by 12 thousand tons to reach 665 thousand tons thanks to the new planted areas and favorable climate and cultivation conditions.
Chile has not been able to recover from its severe decline, so this season production would remain at 785 thousand tons, similar to the last season. While South Africa would see a slight increase of 8 thousand tons in its production to reach 330 thousand tons.
