Aware of this change in the plaintiffs' habit, some Latin American producers have already begun to opt for techniques for producing blueberries in an organic way. The manager of Greenline Gate, Juan González, stated that "Today it would be totally feasible to offer the necessary volumes of organic blueberries to any supermarket that wants to make a transition from conventional to organic blueberries."

This transition, from conventional to organic, will help ensure that blueberry shipments to Europe are not interrupted when the European Union decides to launch the Green Deal, because although conventional blueberries now dominate the market, organic blueberries already follow the steps.

Currently, there is a Latin American oversupply of conventional blueberries, as the delay in shipments due to Covid 19 destabilized the plans of frequent exporters and the solutions found for shipments caused all harvests to arrive together due to a lack of organization.

Despite this, the market for organic blueberries was not affected, as producers were much more organized and had a better schedule of shipments without increases in prices or changes in sales.
