Peruvian agro-exports tabulated until October 2020

Traditional and non-traditional Peruvian agro-exports, despite the hard year the world is going through, achieved an increase of 2% from January to October 2020 compared to the same period last year.

So far, Midagri (Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation) stated that according to the analysis, traditional agricultural exports together totaled a little more than 485 million dollars, while non-traditional exports reached almost 5 billion dollars. and a half dollars.

Fruit exports continued to stand out during the January - October period, achieving 2,880 million FOB dollars, covering 53% of non-traditional exports and representing an increase of 12% compared to the figures obtained in the same period last year.

Among the outstanding products in these agro-exports are:

  • ginger (+ 129%)
  • semi-milled rice (+ 82%)
  • frozen mango (+ 50%)
  • various citrus fruits (+ 44%)
  • piquillo pepper (+ 44%)
  • palm oil (+ 41%)
  • blueberries (+ 32%)
  • mandarins (+ 32%)
  • mangoes (+ 15%)
  • prepared asparagus (+ 7.9%)
  • Others.

Peruvian agro-exports in October

In October of this year alone, agro-exports as a whole achieved 928 million dollars, 25% more than in October 2019 thanks to the excellent purchasing behavior of the international markets, in which blueberries, coffee, ginger and fresh grapes stood out.

On the other hand, traditional agro-exports reached 116 million dollars, representing 13% of all agro-exports obtained in the month of October.
